Fare Thee Well

It's been a good run, this past decade.

But it's been said that all good things must come to an end.

Instead of ending, we shall pause - for however long it takes. We'll ponder, we'll repair, we'll rethink. We'll remember those who've joined us, players and staff, over the past ten years or so - fond memories in almost every case. We'll stare at the walls, remembering the many times they've been rethought, rewritten, repainted, revitalized. We'll recall the struggle to complete, to reach the end of beta - a struggle that took about nine years more than it should have.

We'll remember the rise and fall of clans, of families, of guilds, of kingdoms. We'll remember the eternal efforts put forth by those brave souls who risked their characters' lives and limbs testing a never-ending flood of new systems, new combat approaches, new stances, new styles - and the hours of writing feedback put forth by so many.

And then, when the time is right, we'll gently close the door for awhile. A day, a week, a year. Who knows.

We'll come back, when the time is right.

Until then, fare thee well.
